As the news of COVID-19 has progressed over the past few weeks, the Harker Team has pivoted our approach through the lens of Our Core Values. As a team and community, our roles have begun to look different in some ways as we do what it takes to support our team internally, as well as continuing to create wow experiences for our clients.
The office team has shifted to working remotely and Mecklenburg County has deemed construction as an essential industry, so our field team is serving as our “front lines” on our job sites. Our superintendents have been working diligently to enforce new job site protocols and taking precautions to protect our team and subcontractor teams in order to deliver projects in safe, healthy, and timely manner.
In the meantime, our Harker community has been pitching in to create items such as masks, hand sanitizer, and distancing poles for our team. Harker family members generously made a collective 50 masks for our team, which we are so grateful for. Another team member turned their kitchen into an at-home hand sanitizer factory while another made distancing poles for job sites.
In the end, our goal remains the same; to create wow experiences for a clients, team, and families. We will do this while operating by Our Core Values. Doing what it takes to give back to our community, including the Harker Team as well as the greater Charlotte community. We will adapt as advised and continue to serve each other as best we can during this time.
